Unlock the next level

Updated on Sep 26, 2026

The solo path moves along a single line: each level opens when the previous one is cleared or skipped, and that is the only rule. A level that is still closed tells you to finish the previous level to unlock it.

Clearing a level

A level is cleared as soon as you earn at least one star on it, which means at least 50% correct answers. Below that, the run counts as a fail: the next level stays closed and the Next button does not show up at the end. Tap Play again to try once more. Stars are explained in Stars and rewards.

This also applies to the first level of a chapter: it opens when the boss of the previous chapter is cleared or skipped.

If you are stuck

  • Play it again. After 2 failed runs in a row on the same level, the game helps you out: more time per question, then one wrong answer removed up front on some single-answer questions. A helped run earns two stars at most: once the level is cleared, the help stops, and you can replay it to go for the third.
  • Use a hint on a single-answer question: see Hints.
  • Skip the level with a skip token: see Skip a level.
  • Skip the whole chapter if you do not like its theme: see Skip a chapter.

A skipped level can still be played: come back to it whenever you like to earn its stars.

What about hearts?

Starting a level costs a heart, except on the first 10 levels of the path, marked Free. The first time you earn 2 stars on a level, the heart for that run is given back. After that, a level where you already have 2 stars is replayed for free. With Premium, hearts are unlimited.
