Quit or resume a solo game

Updated on Sep 27, 2026

A solo game can stop in two ways: you quit on purpose, or it gets interrupted (a call, the app closed, the network dropped). The two do not end the same way.

Quitting on purpose

During the game, open the Menu, tap Quit and confirm. Quitting abandons the game: the next time you start that level, you begin again from the first question. What you already earned on the level (stars, best score) is left untouched.

Resuming an interrupted game

If the game stopped without you quitting, it waits for you:

  • on the home screen, the Your quiz is waiting card shows the level and the question where you stopped;
  • when you start the level again, the Resume your quiz? window offers Resume or Start over.

Resuming a game you already started does not cost another heart. If the current question's timer ran out while you were away, it counts as skipped and the rest picks up as normal.

Giving up from the home screen

On the Your quiz is waiting card, tap Give up and confirm: your progress on that quiz is lost and you will start again from the first question.

At the end of a level, three buttons are waiting: Map to go back to the path, Play again to retry the level and Next to carry on, shown only when the level is cleared. See Unlock the next level.
