Difficulty levels
Every quiz and every question has a difficulty, rated internally on a scale from 1 to 10. You never handle that number: the game shows it as five levels, each grouping two steps of the scale.
The five levels
- Very easy: well-known basics, with options that are very different from each other.
- Easy: general knowledge and believable options.
- Medium: it takes some thought, the options look alike.
- Hard: specialist knowledge and real subtleties.
- Expert: the specialist level, very little room for error.
The harder a question, the more points it is worth and the more time you get to answer it: see How points are calculated.
Where you pick it
- In the quiz library, the Difficulty filter offers all five levels.
- For a room's random quiz, you can draw by difficulty. Hard and Expert carry a "Really hard" tag, and a level with no quiz available is greyed out.
- In Quick Game, the search uses only three tiers, Easy, Medium and Hard, or Any difficulty to find an opponent faster. Easy covers Very easy and Easy, Hard covers Hard and Expert.
In solo
You do not pick the difficulty: it rises on its own along the path, from one level to the next within a chapter and from one section to the next. See The chapter map.
